If you want to have a successful gym, you have to have the right staff.
Before you choose your staff, you have to set them up for success. You have to tell them “here’s how to do this” instead of waiting for them to screw it up and then telling them “you did this wrong.”
How valuable is this lesson? Count every dollar you’ve spent on staff who were later fired or who quit because they couldn’t succeed under your leadership.
(In my case, that was $130,000 in the first three years.)
