Storm Strout once lived in the office of the gym with his girlfriend, and he coached every single session.
Fast-forward seven years: Storm owns his 9,000-square-foot gym facility and he reached functional retirement at 25.
Storm is married and raising two kids in a home in Johnstown, Ohio. He’s expanded his business to include commercial and residential real estate. Instead of “wearing every hat” in the gym business, Storm has six full-time staff members and one part timer, and he now does only the work that brings him joy.
Storm joined Two-Brain Business as a client in 2018 because he was “lost and without vision.”
He continued: “I was paralyzed and overwhelmed by my desire to grow my business to have a greater impact on my community and provide for my family, and I had a lack of knowledge on how to grow it. My wife was due to give birth to our son in four months, and I refused to enter fatherhood half present.”
Since starting with Two-Brain, Storm quadrupled his revenue and drove his profit margin north of 35 percent. Beyond metrics, Storm’s gym won Two-Brain’s Gym of the Year Award in 2021 for creating an amazing culture in the business.
Now, Storm wants to pay forward the lessons he learned working with his Two-Brain mentors—lessons that fundamentally changed his life, he said. His mission: to help entrepreneurs achieve freedom of time, money and choice.
“I want to reach the person out there who is struggling like I was—those who are lacking fulfillment, just surviving, maybe even on the verge of throwing in the towel on their dream—and guide them to the fruition of the vision they have for their business and their life.
“I want to help people look forward to waking up in the morning and do work that brings them utter joy and happiness. I want to help get moms and dads back to the breakfast, lunch and dinner tables with their kids instead of working 16-hour days.”
As a mentor, Storm specializes in brand building, retention, mapping the client journey and creating strong service offerings. While he’s always got an eye on metrics, Storm prides himself on being creative, empathetic and relationship driven.
In his free time—provided by the success of his business—Storm plays outdoors with his wife, son and daughter. He loves to hike, rock climb, camp and play guitar, and he’s currently building his dream home.
