A gym owner of 10 years, he reached $100,000 net owner benefit just 18 months after he started working with a Two-Brain mentor. With a strong staff behind him, Ryan now focuses on managing money, marketing, developing his team and creating growth opportunities.
Ryan made these changes after pursuing the wrong path to success. “My initial school of thought was ‘if I become the best coach in town, everyone will come and business success will just happen.’ We all know how that story ends.”
“I got to the point of making a livable wage, but it was by me doing all the coaching. When I had my first child, I knew working 50-60 hours a week in my business wasn’t sustainable, and I needed my business to work for me and not the other way around.”
A Chris Cooper blog follower for years, Ryan took a big step after the pandemic gave him time to evaluate his business. “I signed up for mentorship in February of 2021 and haven’t looked back since. It was easily the best business decision I have made for my business and my family.”

His specialty areas include finding work-life balance, building relationships, developing staff, improving client retention, rebranding, acquiring gyms and creating content.
Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in recreation management and entrepreneurship and is CrossFit Level 3 Certified. He’s a husband and works to be “an awesomely fun dad” to three amazing girls.
