Matt’s passion for health and wellness is embedded in his gym’s mission statement: “To make the community better by helping all individuals who pass through our doors live a better quality of life through fitness.”
Matt Michaud is the founder and CEO of EverProven Training & CrossFit in Dover, New Hampshire, and the former owner of a second location in Exeter.
His passion for health and wellness is embedded in EverProven’s mission statement: “To make the community better by helping all individuals who pass through our doors live a better quality of life through fitness.”
What began as a modest garage gym in 2009 evolved into a thriving, multifaceted fitness business serving over 300 members. From Day 1, Matt focused on building a community through great coaching and real human connection.
In 2017, after informal chats with founder Chris Cooper, Matt officially joined Two-Brain Business. The turning point? Letting go of ego and committing fully to mentorship.
By implementing proven systems, Matt grew monthly revenue from $18,000 to a PR month of $71,000, expanded to six full-time staff, and created a business that provides freedom for him and careers for others. Matt and EverProven now appear frequently on Two-Brain’s leaderboards for client count and revenue.
As a mentor, Matt is driven by creating impact and seeing its ripple effect: When gym owners succeed, they elevate their teams, clients and communities.
Matt’s specialties include large- and small-group training, PT and specialty programming, as well as staff development and leadership.
He also brings a unique perspective as a career fire captain with nearly 20 years of service. In that role, he is responsible for the health and fitness of over 100 fire/rescue personnel, and his ability to balance gym ownership with high-pressure public-service duties gives him deep insight into time management, leadership and resilience.
He’s also no stranger to complex business moves. Matt formerly owned a business and estate liquidation company and has bought and liquidated seven gyms, including the former Again Faster headquarters.
Matt’s philosophy is simple: Treat people with kindness, lead with authenticity, and lean into the hard stuff—because that’s where real growth happens.
Outside the gym and firehouse, Matt is a proud husband and father of two. He trains and competes in CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting alongside his family, and he snowboards in the winter. He grew up playing hockey and is a diehard fan of Boston sports.
Matt is also known for his diverse taste in music. His playlists range from classic rock to ‘90s alt, EDM, hardcore and gangster rap. He brings that same energy, grit and balance to his relationship with every gym owner he mentors.
