James implemented a small-group PT model that helped his gym double its roster of high-value PT clients. That helped him break $50,000 in revenue in four of five months to start 2024.
James Engesser invested to give himself a massive head start as a new gym owner:
He started working with Two-Brain before his gym opened in Charleston, South Carolina.
“I wanted to hire a coach to provide me with success and direction,” James said about that 2019 decision.
With guidance from an expert, James avoided a host of mistakes and built a very strong gym that earned him a spot on Two-Brain’s team of mentors in 2024.
“Mentorship has dramatically changed my life and my business,” James said. “I wanted to be a mentor to help positively impact other gym owners and help them through the difficult times in entrepreneurship.”
One of the secrets of Hustle One’s success: James implemented a small-group PT model that helped his gym double its roster of high-value PT clients. That helped him break $50,000 in revenue in four of five months to start 2024.
James has also reduced his coaching hours from 30-40 per week to four to six. He coaches just a few classes and PT groups personally because he wants to, not because he has to.
As a mentor, James specializes in setting up new gyms for long-term success and creating and filling high-value PT programs. He also has experience setting up and exiting business partnerships.
When he’s not working on his business or coaching other gym owners, he enjoys working out, cooking on the grill, biking in Charleston and participating in shooting sports.
