In a very tough California market, Eric built a gym that grosses over $50,000 a month, acquired an AirBNB and became a millionaire.
Eric Conner is owner of a thriving gym that’s operated for more than a decade in the hyper-competitive California market.
Based in Rancho Santa Margarita, just southeast of Los Angeles, Eric’s business grosses over $50,000 a month and pays two full-time staff members $60,000 to $80,000 a year with retirement benefits. In 2022-2023, Eric added 20 percent to his gross revenue, and his net owner benefit is over $10,000 a month. He accomplished all of this without running paid ads.
Supported by a strong, sustainable business, Eric had the bandwidth to join Two-Brain’s Tinker Program, buy an AirBNB in Joshua Tree and earn a place on Two-Brain’s team of mentors.
Eric found Two-Brain back in 2016 through Chris Cooper’s prolific content creation. Two years later, he had a realization:
“I had taken my business as far as I could without a mentor. I joined Two-Brain and have never looked back. Since then, our gross revenue has increased over 60 percent, our average revenue per member has increased over 50 percent, our personal training revenue has increased over 500 percent, and I have become a millionaire.”
Eric wanted to become a Two-Brain mentor so he could assist other entrepreneurs.
“I want to help other gym owners succeed and accomplish the goals they have for their business and their life. I want to help others provide for their families, staff and local communities, and I want to use my experience to help them get there faster,” he said.
Eric’s specialty is helping people turn passion into performance—because love for fitness is great but won’t pay the bills by itself. Eric knows something about operating in expensive areas, too: his monthly rent is $16,000 for 5,300 square feet. Beyond that, he’s skilled in staff development, member retention, lifestyle adjustment and running a business while parenting (he’s got four kids).
Eric has a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in psychology from the University of San Francisco in addition to a CF-L3 credential.
He’s never too busy to spend time with his wife and kids, and he loves to play and watch soccer. A true Californian, he also enjoys having coffee by the beach and checking out supercars and trucks.
