The gym’s mission is to help members live happier, healthier lives, and everyone on the team takes pride in helping clients feel welcomed into the community regardless of fitness background.
Candice started as a coach at CrossFit Iron Horse in 2010, just two years before becoming a co-owner with two partners. After they relocated the business across town in 2014, its stability slowly began to erode, and the gym took a turn for the worse and nearly failed in 2018.
After a long legal battle for sole ownership, Candice finally got the opportunity to turn the gym around in October 2019. She launched a successful rebrand in February 2020, just before temporarily shutting the doors due to COVID, like so many other businesses.
While she knew she was a great coach, Candice realized she knew nothing about business, so she started looking into business mentorship and discovered Two-Brain Business.
One of Candice’s big goals was to move to Austin, Texas, three hours away from her gym, while leading her team from afar. She devoted time to hiring and developing key staff members, building solid systems, and demonstrating her genuine care for each team member, and the Iron Horse staff kept monthly revenues above 90% when she moved.
Knowing how difficult and lonely entrepreneurship can be, Candice is passionate about helping fellow owners who are struggling.
As a Two-Brain mentor, her mission is to help other business owners succeed and build solid gyms they love so they can positively impact their communities as well. Candice prides herself on guiding mentees who work in the large group space, especially CrossFit affiliate owners.
When she’s not leading her team or mentoring business owners, Candice loves personal development, traveling and spoiling her dog kids.
