Jeff grew up in Illinois playing just about every sport possible, although football was his true passion. Following his collegiate football career, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment until 2004.
After the military, Jeff worked in IT for a Fortune 50 Company for years while investing in real estate, both single-family homes, and apartment buildings. In 2008, he relocated to Houston so that his wife could pursue her Ph.D. While living in Houston, he decided to open Cannon CrossFit in 2011. His passion for fitness and his background in strength and conditioning made it a natural fit.
The biggest lesson he took away from those first few years of being an owner/operator? “Running a service-based business is all about relationships. Relationships with your staff, relationships with your clients, and relationships within your community. It was totally different than any type of business I had worked for or run in the past. Running a business is not for the faint of heart and something I learned long ago is to always have mentors in anything you do. Look for the people that have done what you are trying to do, ask questions, and seek guidance.”
Jeff is incredibly passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in their journey to live their perfect lives and achieve their goals.
